"I absolutely love this elegant silk top. Both the material and finishing are high quality. I own another item from this company, a silk spaghetti strap top, and it's my favorite thing to sleep in. This tank is more for dressy or work outfits and the cut is super classy and flattering with darts on the sides of the bust and a modest neckline that isn't too high or low. The package came with a letter from the company's founder, Tara Nguyen, as well as informative labels about garment care and the company's mission with a handwritten tag naming exactly who made the top, as well as a note that 10% of the proceeds go to a good cause for women. The top also came in a lovely silk drawstring bag with a free silk hair tie! I fully recommend this brand and would absolutely buy more products from them."

1. I am in between sizes: M and L, should I order size M or L?
We recommend that you do not size up because our clothing is loose-cut, as silk does not stretch. Therefore, if you are in between sizes M and L, we suggest ordering size M.
2. What does it mean that your silk is 27 momme?
Momme is a standard measurement that indicates the weight of silk. The higher the momme, the higher the weight, quality and consequently durability. Our artisan mulberry silk is 27 momme, which is over 40% more silk than the 19 momme silk often used for mass-produced silk garments.
3. Why does your silk not need to be dry cleaned?
Our silk is produced using traditional artisan methods dating back to the 9th century, allowing it to be washed like it has been for thousands of years, without the need for dry cleaning and its harsh chemicals.
4. Is it true I can machine-wash this silk? How?
Yes, our thicker 27 momme artisan handmade silk is durable and machine washable. Place it in a laundry mesh bag to protect it from other items, then wash it on delicate or hand wash cycle using a detergent and softener for delicates. Tara recommends washing silk with shampoo and conditioner to maintain its lustre and softness. Simply add 1 tbsp of shampoo and 1 tbsp conditioner to 1 cup of water, add to your washing machine, and wash on a delicate cycle.
5. I really dislike ironing! Will I end up having to constantly iron these silk garments?
Tara and many of us here at Tara Sartoria share your dislike of ironing, and that's precisely why we love silk! Silk's lightness allows body heat to naturally soften and remove wrinkles over time. So, in reality, all you need is a quick steam, or none at all if it's sleepwear. Additionally, washing silk with shampoo and conditioner can result in fewer wrinkles when drying.
6. What is the deal with French seams?
French seams are a high-end finishing method used in haute couture and luxury garments. It takes about twice as long to make the garment and more fabric because the seams are sewn twice. But, the result is a durable garment with a polished appearance inside and out.
7. Can I wear this daily?

The color of this camisole is a beautiful navy. It is lightweight and fits very well. I ordered my usual size and I was very pleased with the fit. The fabric appeared to be quality and I think it is comfortable to wear. Everything about this camisole was great except for the way that it wrinkles. I took it out of the package and hung it in my bathroom to steam for several days. As you can see from the photo, the wrinkles never fell out. I would probably look for something else that wrinkles less.
Nice thickness to silk and good stitching! Love that the arm holes and neck line aren’t so low cut. It’s good for petites. Not so great for me when I sit down and relax the gut, though that’s my fault for eating too much brownie batter lol Beautiful shirt!
The silk tank top comes in a beautiful black cinch sack making for an excellent gift. There is a note included talking about how 10% of the profit goes to "helping women to start businesses and go to university". The tank top had some creases but they came out with washing on delicate proceeded by steaming. (see photo) The fit is extremely loose, I take a large and went by the measurements when ordering. The silk fabric is soft and luxurious. Because silk does not stretch, i understand that it can not fit snuggly however, it feels too big to me. The quality of the fabric, the stitching and the form are high quality.
I got the Luxury Artisan Silk Blouse Sleeveless, Mulberry Silk Top, Silk Tank Top V Neck Midnight Blue in X-Large. The XL fits pretty true to size and gives me a slightly loose fit, which looks very nice with the fabric. This tank top has a v-neck in front and a u-neck in back. It is darted, so I would not wear it backwards. This silk fabric feels wonderful, and I find the cut flattering. This tank is very versatile, from business to going out. I like that this is easy-care silk that can be put in the washing machine. It does take work to get the wrinkles out, but being able to wash it at home is a major bonus to me. I'm very happy with this top.
This feels lovely and looks awesome. It’s a beautiful dark blue and is perfect for layering. It’s also gorgeous on its own. The v neck is very flattering and it’s easy to dress up or down. Beautiful.
