Already Know Our Silk?

New colors, new pieces and a few things customers kept asking us to make. If you already own our silk, you probably know the problem: one piece is rarely the end of it.

New Silk Designs

Beautiful silk is easy to admire.
We care more about whether you keep wearing it.

So we make ours for regular use. The silk has substance, the cut is relaxed, the seams are enclosed, and you can wash it on a delicate cycle.

Silk Has a Reputation for Being Difficult.

A lot of that reputation comes from silk that is simply too thin.

Very light silk can snag easily, and dry-clean-only silk becomes a nuisance surprisingly quickly.

We use a heavier silk for a reason.

Ours is 27 momme mulberry silk, woven on heritage looms in Vietnam and finished with French seams. It is machine washable on a delicate cycle.

It feels special at first. Then, ideally, it just becomes the robe or pajamas you reach for without thinking.

What Is Tara Sartoria?

Tara Sartoria is a women-owned silk brand founded in 2020 by Tara Nguyen. We make silk robes, pajamas, boxers, shirts and gifts from 27 momme mulberry silk woven on heritage looms in Vietnam's historic silk villages.

Every piece is made one piece at a time by master artisans and finished with French seams. Our silk is machine washable on a delicate cycle and our standard sizing runs from XS to 4XL.

The silk has a proper weight to it. You notice that straight away, and then again after months of washing and wearing it.

We try to make the buying part straightforward, too. Order your usual US size. If you would rather measure, there is a detailed size chart. If you're between two sizes, email Clara. She looks at sizing questions herself and normally replies within one business day.

10% of profits fund women's education and entrepreneurship.
