"Tara Sartoria does it again! :) I love supporting this company and appreciate the quality items they put out for their customers. This silk pajama set is just so nice-it's comfortable, lightweight, and feels so luxurious. It's easy to wash (I use cold water on gentle cycle with the items in a mesh laundry bag) and hang up to dry overnight. The thank you notes and storage bags are always a nice touch. Definitely recommend!"

I work from home, and I practically live in these silk pajamas. They are incredibly soft and comfortable. The top is designed to resemble a casual yet elegant silk blouse with cuffs, mother-of-pearl buttons, and a band collar. This way, you can easily hop on a Zoom call or run errands in your pajamas.
Sometimes, if I've been wearing them all day and any wrinkles have been softened by body heat, and I'm feeling a bit lazy (which happens quite often), I just swap out the bottoms for a pair of jeans or leggings, throw on my boots, and I'm ready to go out for dinner without looking too shabby.
Maintenance is a breeze since these are 100% washable on a delicate cycle. Each set comes with detailed washing instructions, but here's an additional tip: I like to use a mild shampoo and conditioner instead of detergent to make mine last longer (just mix 1 tbsp shampoo and conditioner with a cup of water, then add it to your washer).

1. I am in between sizes: M and L, should I order size M or L?
We recommend that you do not size up because our clothing is loose-cut, as silk does not stretch. Therefore, if you are in between sizes M and L, we suggest ordering size M.
2. What does it mean that your silk is 27 momme?
Momme is a standard measurement that indicates the weight of silk. The higher the momme, the higher the weight, quality and consequently durability. Our artisan mulberry silk is 27 momme, which is over 40% more silk than the 19 momme silk often used for mass-produced silk garments.
3. Why does your silk not need to be dry cleaned?
Our silk is produced using traditional artisan methods dating back to the 9th century, allowing it to be washed like it has been for thousands of years, without the need for dry cleaning and its harsh chemicals.
4. Is it true I can machine-wash this silk? How?
Yes, our thicker 27 momme artisan handmade silk is durable and machine washable. Place it in a laundry mesh bag to protect it from other items, then wash it on delicate or hand wash cycle using a detergent and softener for delicates. Tara recommends washing silk with shampoo and conditioner to maintain its lustre and softness. Simply add 1 tbsp of shampoo and 1 tbsp conditioner to 1 cup of water, add to your washing machine, and wash on a delicate cycle.
5. I really dislike ironing! Will I end up having to constantly iron these silk garments?
Tara and many of us here at Tara Sartoria share your dislike of ironing, and that's precisely why we love silk! Silk's lightness allows body heat to naturally soften and remove wrinkles over time. So, in reality, all you need is a quick steam, or none at all if it's sleepwear. Additionally, washing silk with shampoo and conditioner can result in fewer wrinkles when drying.
6. What is the deal with French seams?
French seams are a high-end finishing method used in haute couture and luxury garments. It takes about twice as long to make the garment and more fabric because the seams are sewn twice. But, the result is a durable garment with a polished appearance inside and out.
7. Can I wear this daily?

This is one of several pieces from Tara Sartoria which I have and all of them are excellent. This particular pajama set comes in a matching silk bag and has a hair scrunchie as a bonus gift. Fabric: thick 100% mulberry silk, very breathable, feels warm in the winter and cooling in the summer. My body doesn't sweat whatsoever while wearing this fabric. It feels incredibly luxurious and soft. It's a lot thicker and denser than a typical scarf from same material. Tailoring: excellent. All seams are hidden because they're finished in French fashion. See close up photo. This requires a lot of work and skill for the seamstress and a lot of extra fabric, but the result is that there's no visible edges of the material. This means that the pants won't ever split and it's virtually impossible to tear a seam during wear. Fit: loose, roomy, the pant legs are a bit long, but can be hemmed, which I won't be doing. This pajama will fit tall women and can be adjusted for height. Same with sleeves: they're roomy and on the long side. Pants have two deep pockets. The front panel of the pants is flat, the back is gathered and has a stretchy cord sewn in. See photos. Sizing: order the size you're normally wear but expect the pajama to be larger than you'd think. Silk doesn't stretch therefore you must expect the fit to be loose to allow for movement. I ordered size L for my 5'5" 170lb frame and it's quite loose, but I don't want them to be any smaller because I like comfy pajamas. Care: there's a detailed care card attached to the garment, however, I had great results washing shirts from this brand and same exact material with baby shampoo and conditioner. I literally take a tablespoon of shampoo and tablespoon of conditioner, and add to a cup of water, then pour this concoction into the washer machine and run a gentle hand wash cycle. Then hang dry. No problems and no color fading so far. The verdict: highly recommended! Yes this is a very expensive garment, but I love it and I think every woman deserves to own a few luxurious pieces like this.
The "Luxury Artisan Silk Pajamas For Women, Band Collar, Pure Mulberry Silk 27 Momme Onyx Black" is plain gorgeous. The mulberry silk is not thin and flimsy but has some substantial weight to it. The top of the PJ set is so nice with cuffs and mother of pearl buttons that you can wear it as a blouse outside the home. I washed it in the delicate cycle and dried it for just 20 minutes on low, it came out even softer. The material is not elastic, so the pants are generously sized and have a long drawstring to adjust them. The top looks elegant and luxurious. The seams are expertly sewn with the French seam method. There are no strings hanging anywhere. These PJ's are top quality and they are definitely worth considering for a very nice present. There are other companies offering silk PJ's, I have 2 and they cost more and are inferior to this set. It was when I ordered it and it is definitely worth that price!
These silk pajamas are super soft and comfortable. They are very well-made from a high-quality silk fabric. I ordered the blue one, and the color is beautiful; however, it's darker than the photos on the website. They are very lightweight and breathable and fit nicely. I have been wearing them since I received them and washed them once. They are machine washable, and you need to put them in the bag that came with them for that. They also need to be steamed from time to time because of wrinkles. Overall, I love these and highly recommend them.

The PJs are 100% pure silk, which I love the most. The fabric is thick and silky smooth. The PJs are well-made. I ordered my regular size, and they are bigger than I expected; both the pants and sleeves are too long for me. However, given the high quality of the PJs, I can live with it. Additionally, considering a larger size will make them more comfortable for sleeping, especially since silk doesn’t stretch. I own a few sets of pure silk PJs, and this set is my favorite. It is a great gift idea for the holidays.
